FOR APPLICANTS:
1. AKU-Aalborg's regulation:
Notice this: Before making an application at our homepage, it is very important to acquaint yourself with our regulation. The regulation can be found here!
2. How to make an application (Step-by-step guide):
The application has to be made on our homepage. Click here to get the step-by-step guide in how to make an application.
3. Re-applicating:
In order to clean the waitinglists for applicants, who are no longer interested in getting an accomodation, we ask applicants to re-applicate 4 times a year. "Re-applicate" means that the applicant respond through a button on their application, whether they still want to be on the waitinglist. When the re-application period begins we sent out an email to all applicants with information about reapplicating.
4. Getting an offer:
Our mails/letters with offers for accomodation are in danish, but a english form of the letter can be downloaded here!
When you receive an offer for accomodation either by mail/by post, the same offer will also appear on your application at our homepage. You can choose to register your answer by clicking on the "Ja" (Yes) or "Nej" (No) - buttons. The answer will be registered right away in our system.
Notice this: Unless you are offered the accomodation as no. 1, you can not expect to get the accomodation.
So how can you find out whether or not you got the accomodation?
- The rule of thumb is that if you within 3 weekdays have received a rental contract by post, you can be sure you got the accomodation. Though if you want to know right away, you can always log into your application-account at our homepage the day after the response period expires at the offer, and if you see this: "Din ansøgning er stillet i bero, fordi du har accepteret vores boligtilbud, og vi er ved at udarbejde din lejekontrakt", it means you got the apartment, and we are about to make your rental contract.

1. Getting an accomodation:
If you have received the rental contract along with other papers, it is important that you read through all the papers carefully.
When you have read it all through, you need to sign the rental contract and return it back to AKU-Aalborg within 3 weekdays. The 1. monthly rent as well as the deposit has to be paid at the payment date at the latest.

When AKU-Aalborg has received the signed rental contract and registered the payment from you, we will sign and stamp the contract as well, and sent a copy back to you by email together with contact information of the landlord. You need to contact the landlord and arrange a day to get the key. Remember to bring the copy of the rental contract to show the landlord, since it is his 'receipt' that everything is okay.
3. Deficiencylist - what to do and where to sent it:
When you take over an accomodation, you need to be aware of flaws, broken things and/or missing parts in the accomodation. The things you notice in that coherence needs to be written down, signed and delivered to the landlord 14 days at the latest after the takeover date of the accomodation. If you do not make a deficency list and deliver it in time you'll risk being held responsible for possible flaws or alike.

The first monthly rent and deposit needs to be paid directly to AKU-Aalborg. The second monthly rent and forward is paid to the housing association. They will send out paying-information some time before it needs to be paid.

6. Moving out of the accomodation:
When moving out of an accomodation, you need to give AKU-Aalborg a filled out notice to quit containing your signature. You can either come to AKU-Aalborg and fill it out here, or you can print one out yourself. Get the notice to quit here! (The english versions are in the bottom of the page you are linked to.)
